Telling the Time
≈ 15 minTime has its own units, and they do not go up in tens:
On a clock, the short hand shows the hour and the long hand shows the minutes. To find how long something lasts (elapsed time), count on from the start to the end.
Worked example. School starts at and ends at . How long is the school day?
Count the hours from to : that is hours.
How many minutes are there in hour?
How many minutes are there in hours?
School starts at and ends at . How long is the school day?
How many days are there in weeks?
