Volume is the amount of space a solid fills, measured in cubic units (cm³ or m³) — think of how many 1×1×11 \times 1 \times 1 cubes fit inside.

  • Rectangular prism: volume =l×w×h= l \times w \times h.
  • Cube (side ss): volume =s3= s^3.

Worked example. A rectangular prism 55 cm ×\times 33 cm ×\times 22 cm has volume 5×3×2=305 \times 3 \times 2 = 30 cm³.

A rectangular prism measures 55 cm ×\times 33 cm ×\times 22 cm. Find its volume, in cm³.
