Ethical computing is not a final paragraph about being kind. It asks what a system is for, whose interests it serves, who carries the risk of an error and who can question the outcome. A useful ethical analysis separates facts from assumptions. The responsible question is not only whether the software can work; it is whether the benefit justifies the data, power and potential harm, and whether people have meaningful recourse.

A responsible analysis asks whether the prediction is accurate across groups, whether it stigmatizes learners, what data is necessary, who sees the score and whether the score triggers support rather than punishment. An educator must be able to override it and learners must understand the process.
